Sure it can. Plug the oil line with a bolt and hose clamp close to the pump. Disconnect the no oil alarm at the console. Remember to mix your fuel/oil at 50:1. Go fishing.
Do not disconnect anything at the console!!! Disconnect the fuel pump harness and the 2 leads from the tank. That will disconnect the oil warning. If you disconnect anything from the console you could lose your overheat warning horn.
