2003 Merc 50hp Bigfoot Control Interchange

Good morning all.
I have a 2003 Premier Grand Majestic 250RE with 2003 Mercury 50hp Efi 4Stroke Bigfoot.
Boat is rated to 115hp

Id like to upgrade the motor to 90 or 115hp

Can anyone tell me what years shared identical controls/ (cables and electrical)
Im having a hard time finding this info.

Id like to do a simple plug n play swap.

What kind of controls do you have now?

Side mount with intregal key switch? Or, Binnacle (top mount) with seperate key switch?

I'm pretty sure you're safe with the cables (Merc. to Merc). Electrically could be a bit tricky as the boat maker may not have known what brand of engine was going on it.
