I have an 03 SeaRay Sundeck with a 5.0 Merc With and Alpha 1 Leg. My HP is 220 and currently I have a 14.5x19 Alum Prop on it. Currently I hit 49.5 on gps with just me and full load of fuel @ 4900 RPM's trimed out. My Rev Limiter is about 5050- 5100 RPM's. I have figured out that I am about 4000 lbs with Gas and other Gear. Though I have not weighed it I am Just Guessing using NADA as My Guide and then 6.5 lbs per gallon of gas. I would like to get some help with towing a tube with more than one person on the Tube. Also I would like to get alittle bit better low end power and be able to stay on plane at a lower speed. I have been doing some research on this and it looks like a 4 blade 17" SS Prop should help me out. I would like your thoughts on this and Maybe somepointers of else where I can look.

Thanks
Adam

I would guess at the same prop. Mine was at 5000 rpm with a 14x23 alum and I went to a SS 4blade CUPPED HIGH RAKE 14x23 and dropped 800rpm. I have the same exact prop coming in today but in a 21p. Will post the results once I get it in the water. I would suggest getting the cupped high rake design. It changed my boating experience dramatically.

If that prop is the same as the Stilletto BayPro 11 it will pull hard, but perhaps you might want to look at a merc Mirage of Solas , maybe WH might pop in here.

I have the HR Titan 4 Series prop. It really dis make a world of difference in the handling, roll on, and top speed of my boat. Allowed for much more trim capability which led to higher top end. The boat handles rough and choppy water totally different. You can actually feel the prop holding the water better and really made the boat fun to drive. I had a ball test driving it this past Sunday.
