My 2004 200hp Mercury EFI Outboard is blowing the fuse under the cowling that is for the "Fuel Injector Harness, Electric Fuel Pump and Oil Pump". It is very hot at the front of the engine when I take the cowling off, and will blow the fuse again if I don't let it cool off for an hour or two before I restart.

What amp fuse?

I would check your grounds, this is any black wire that is attached to the block. Then check the connections to the alternator. If problem still occurs you may have a bridge rectifier that has failed. In my experience I have only seen a fuse blow due to a short to ground....you really need to give more information....is this happening underway key on what? But in the mean time maybe this will help?
I'm going to have to pm you this portion...man I wish the site administrators would get their act together. Here we are trying to troubleshoot a problem and now I have to PM you this portion...yeah I could post a link but I get no satisfaction of what my post looks like once posted. I'll send you the link and you can use it and do with it what. Really sucks for people who are viewing this that may have the same problems...Good Luck.
