2004 300 HPDI wont start

I have a new used 2004 boat with twin 300 HPDI's. Yesterday both engines shutdown while underway. I noticed that the fuel was being drawn from the auxhilary tank. Switched to the main tank and the starboard engine fired right up. No such luck with the port engine. Any ideas, Rockfish season starts Saturday and mechanic can't get to it till next week. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

have you checked the VST's for fuel and any water? have you checked the engine fuel filters for water?<br /> in engineering whimsy land the "water in fuel" alarm now only sounds at idle in neutral. if your in gear and rolling your first indication is it quits running.<br /><br /> this is not a carb motor and will inject anything the pump sends it, just may not burn.
