Motor runs fine but the shifter seems a little stiff to me, I don't know what's normal. Can anyone here give me a feel for what normal resistance/stiffness is in the shifter mechanism? Are there lubrication points in the shifter mechanism and cables?
Boat is going to the shop due to fresh water (small amount) in the lower unit oil. Could water in the gear lube have anything to due with shifter stiffness?
Would like to avoid an expensive shifter diagnosis/repair if possible.
