2004 Crownline 202BR with 5.0 MPI merc

Was out this weekend and my tach wasn't working properly....it was sticking at all different RPM's...if I tapped the gauge it would jump to the correct reading.

Any ideas why this would be happening and how to fix it? The boat has Faria gauges btw.

Sometimes if the gauge mounting hardware is over tightened, it will allow the gauge needle to stick. If loosening up the mounting nuts a little don't help, I believe Faria still offers a repair service by mail.
