Recently changed the impeller and thermostat but boat still running hot after 10-15 of use. I slow down or idle for a few minutes and the temperature starts to go down. I’m able to continue after temp goes down but once again after 10+ minutes temperature begins to creep back above 200. I’m going to change the temperature sender to see if it’s a faulty sensor but would love opinions on what else it may be? Thanks

Is this a salt water boat, would check the exhaust manifolds risers if used and elbows fir corrosion and restricted water passages

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,....... I'd investigate the plumbing from the outdrive to the raw water pump,....
If there's a leak there, it'll be suckin' air while on-plane, 'n water when not on-plane,....

Also, get an IR gun for $30 and verify the temps at the thermostat. It’s a great tool to have for diagnosing temp issues.
The sensor is likely accurate.

I appreciate everyone’s response. I’ll be taking it to a mechanic this week. If you have any other ideas don’t hesitate to respond. Thx again!
