I purchased and installed a used HPDI about 300 miles away so taking it back is a last resort. Idles rough in gear at low rpms. Gets on plane quickly but after 3300 rpm or around 70 percent throttle it bombs out. The old motor was getting plenty of fuel before blowing head gasket and eventually the power head and was replaced within a month. So, unless it is a coincidence the problem is with the motor and not the boat. I cleaned high pressure fuel filter and changed the fuel water seperator. Tried pumping primer bulb on plane while increasing throttle and motor still dies out. The new motor is under warranty but since I installed myself and depending on the problem not sure if it will be covered. Will try remote fuel tank this weekend just to rule the boat out but wanted to get some other ideas and/or suggestions for troubleshooting.
