Hey guys, I am having some issues with my Johnson 115. It just doesn't seem to want to idle well for the first few mins it cranks. You get it fired up, idle it up to around 1k/2k for a sec and then it idles fine. It also will fire right up with no problem when it's out of the water. Seems like it could be a simple cleaning issue, but is there something I should run through the fuel to clean it? I am not familiar with these newer motors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bull

Have you cleaned the carbs before initial running of this engine? That is a definite must! If so then try sea foam. Run some sea foam thru fuel connection to carbs, it might clean out any gummy issues, stale gas etc you have with the idle carb jets. Seafoam is sold in most automotive places for under $5.00 a can. Good Luck!

I havn't cleaned the carbs, is this something that can be while they are attached to the engine? I am not sure if I would be able to pull these carbs as this is a pretty complex engine and I'm just not familiar enough to pull them. I did run some seafoam in the tank but didn't inject it directly. If I wanted to get someone to pull them and clean them how much would that roughly cost? I want it to run right and I don't want to mess anything up by attempting it myself. Thanks for the help,
