hello everyone I have been having no spark in my outboard. I have a 2 stroke johnson 90 hp plsrr. I have found that when I dissconnect the black and yellow wire I get spark back. I would guess and say that it is the kill switch that has gone bad. Where do I start to fix this problem? What can I do ??? thanks in advance

Check back to your key switch and safety lanyard switch will likely be a short there to ground

You might also reconnect the wires and push in on the part of the key switch that is the safety switch and see if you continue to loose spark. If so it's a pretty sure bet you will have to replace the key switch......oh.....and don't forget to make sure the safety switch lanyard is not wore out and installed correctly on the key switch.

Sounds like bad wiring or key switch seeing motor continues to run in off position.
