As per a recall notice, "Corrosion and/or lack of lubrication on the throttle linkage creates excessive drag on the linkage bushings, which could prevent the throttle from returning all the way to idle after operating at cruising speeds. Instead, the engine might stay at fast idle speed that could prevent the operator from shifting the remote control into neutral unless the engine is shut off. These engines all have throttle mechanisms made with plastic bushings."<br /><br />Well, I had the work completed last spring. Low and behold, the throttle is sticking (was not before I had the work done). The boat had not been run for 1 1/2 months, so I imagine some corrosion has built up. Rather than take the boat in right away (had plans this weekend), I was wondering where on the linkage to lubricate and with what? Seems like there is a vertical push rod, which might be a good place to start.
