I have a 2004 mercury EFI outboard. When going it starts to loose RPM's and slow down. It won't rev up to it normal 5500 RPM at full throttle. I change the plugs, fuel filter put some methyl hydrate in the fuel (thought maybe water in the fuel) but it still runs the same. At idle it is fine but when giving it throttle it looses power. I noticed today the fuel ball is soft when it looses power. Do you think maybe a bad fuel pump?
