My boat currently has a 3 blade stainless prop that has awesome top end but doesn't plane out as fast or hold plane as slow (for beginner kneeboarders etc) as I would like. I have tried a different prop but that only fixed the low end which caused me to lose a ton of the top end. I read about these smart tabs and everyone seems to be completely satisfied with them. For $130 if they solve my planing/holeshot issues but leave my top end alone that would be awesome!

The second piece to this puzzle is that the boat leans to the left when cruising on the water. Now by design, most of the seating is on that side of the boat so this is logical. Will the smart tabs help this as well? Can I mount one tab towards the outside of the transom on the left side, and more towards the center on the right? My transducers on the left side are mounted right where I assume the tabs would go. Can the tabs be mounted closer to the outdrive?

My last question is will this ruin the wake for wakeboarding and knee boarding? 232D247B-2036-430C-A7E6-D239A2F94E78_zps4l5fgpo2.jpg

My experience with SmartTabs is that they won't help much with your boat listing to starboard; for that, I would think you'd need adjustable tabs (or change the distribution of weight in the boat.)

The SmartTabs do wonders with helping you get on plane and hold it at lower speeds, and they also help with porpoising and chine-walking at higher speeds. They are really helpful for towing sports (wakeboarding, tubing) where you want to be on plane but at a lower speed. You are correct that they are an in expensive and easy to install fix for those concerns.

The tabs do flatten out the wake a bit. You probably can mount the tabs more toward the center, but you really should contact the folks at Nauticus with that question. They are super-helpful and they'll let you know whether or not that would work.(Their customer services overall is excellent, too.)

If the listing problem is something you really want to fix with tabs, I think you'll need to pony up for helm-controlled tabs.
