Looking at a new leftover 05 115 johnson for $5400, I am looking to repower a 96 Angler dual console 20 ft. Would this be enough?

70% of the boats rated hp, is minimal hp.

what motor was on it before and how did it preform?? What is the max rated HP motor for your boat?? most 20' boats run a 200 or 225 around here. seems that a 115 would be very under powered to me. I would think at least a 150 or 175 and they probably will not move it real fast. I have a 20' well craft with a 200 that runs about 41 MPH WOT unloaded. cruises nicely at around 35

originally had a 95 130 evinrude that has not ran properly since I purchased it earlier this year. It seems to really struggle to get on plane. I thought it may just be the motor. Looks like I better shop for the 150.
