2005 Aqua Patio Cover

Hi,

Brand new to the forum, and brand new to boating in general. Own a 2005 Aqua Patio 220RE. The cover has seen better days. Spoke to Godfrey, and they don't sell 2005 covers any longer. iboats said they have covers that will fit, but they won't be button-down like the one we have now (I assume it came with the boat when the original owner bought it?).

Someone mentioned finding someone to do a custom cover so the button locations match, it will wrap around the bimini frame, etc. Can someone a) give me a ballpark on how much something like that might cost, and b) recommend some places I can check with?

Of course, if there is a dealer I can just buy a 2005 cover with the buttons, etc, from, that would be ideal (depending on pricing).

Its not likely a dealer will have a replacement cover. That`s a one shot deal on a brand new boat. However having the old cover for a temp let is a big help it cuts the labor cost when having a new one made. As far as the cost of having one made the prices are all over the place. It varies depending on what material is used and how big the boat is and what area your in. I have heard prices ranging from 500 up. I had one made last year, but this isn't a big boating area and has a limited number of shops that will make one and I had mine made from sumbrella so it would last 10 plus years, mine ran 1200.00

You can buy a cover made for your boat model online for under $500 (boatcoversdirect.com) or have a local marine upholsterer make one for $800- $1200
