2005 lower unit 50 Hp

I recentley purchaced a boat that had a 2005 johnson 50 on it. It's a 2007 boat/trailer with the johnson on it. I paid 1200 for it, the only problem is it needs a new lower unit. The one that was on it was aparently so damaged the shop just threw it away. I've been looking for a used/new/rebuilt lower unit but everything I can find cost more than I paid for the whole setup. If anyone is selling a lower unit for cheaper or knows where I may find one I could use the help. Thank you

It takes a little work but you will probably be able to find something on ebay, they have the $1800 ones to but you can get a deal if you look long enough.

Find out what other years are compatible, I'm sure it is alot, so you have a bigger choice.

If its a Etec series 2004-2007 40/50/60hp will interchange, if not a Etec the 1989-2005 40/48/50hp will interchange. My supplier has them new in stock.

Thanks guys found a rebuilt 94 on ebay for 500$, appreciate the help

Faztbullet, Evinrude builds Etecs, Johnsons are carbed.
