Hey all,
recently ran into an issue with my new (to me) boat and motor combo. The rig has the motor listed in the thread title and has blown a fuse twice in the fuse block. I am hoping someone can help me with what might be causing it and what the wires do for the motor (to help trace).
Fuse being blown is in the #3 position in the fuse block, it has a 20A fuse in it. Wires running into that position are Solid red and a Red with purple stripe.
Both times the fuse has popped have been independent of each other, first one was as I was trimming the motor up in the garage and the second was just as my wife began to shift from idle while the motor was running. I have been told everything from a diode to a bare wire could be the culprit. I have stripped back a bunch of the wiring harness cover but have not uncovered anything suspicious as of yet.
Anyone have any ideas?
