Bought this boat Saturday, had an hour sea trial before buying, engine ran sweet, minimum wake and wide open etc. Sunday put it in the sea, with the family cruised down the intercoastal, again running great, pulled up on island, stopped engine, trim up. About 2hrs later shoved off, but engine cranked and would not start.
I'm a generator Technician by trade, so I know about engines to a point, I removed the jet on top of the Holly carb , no fuel came out. Checked the spark, white spark against the block.
Called sea tow, luckily I'm a member and 2hrs later we are back at the dock.
Today, I check the hose from the tank to the fuel pump, it's split, I buy a new CG hose fit it and add 2 clamps as a precaution.
Cranked it, loosened the same jet screw and air and fuel came out...tightened it when only fuel was coming out.
Daren fire it up, because need to put a hose on the outdrive.
Advice appreciated.
