Upon starting my motor it started up idling at a high speed and I could not get it to return to normal idling speed. Then I shifted it into FORWARD and we took off at around 5-10 mph AND I could not slow it down...so, I tried shifting back into neutral with some difficulty and it still continued idling high and then a beeping signal sounded, but no lights came on in the LED display?

The motor has run perfectly until this time and I have no clue whats wrong? Any Suggestions?

Maybe your in neutral throttle is stuck. Pull the cowling and with engine off, have someone work the throttles while you watch what is going on back there. Good luck.

Either of two things. The throttle cable may be adjusted incorrectly or the wire has come off the closed throttle position switch (located dead center at the bottom front of the powerhead). The alarm sounding with no check engine light is puzzeling. You may also have a loose battery connection as that will cause some very odd reactions.

well it is a 2005 right, you must still be under warranty, take it back to the dealer you bought it from so they can short it out ... why bother if they can do it for free if still under warrantee .... I know it is fun, but hey it is free ..
