2005 Suzuki 9.9 hp 4 stroke

I was wondering if this motor had pistons that travel together as oposed to alternating. I have seen this design on some older motor cycles. Any thoughts on whether they are good or bad would be appreciated.

I have owned it for about 6 months and my only complaint is it seems to idle a bit rough.
