My DF140 quit running today. Idled fine out of the marina, then quit.
Got back, pulled the cowling and noticed that the fuel rail was very loose. One of the nuts was almost off, the other was loose. The o-ring on the top injector was cut and fell apart when I took the injector out.

Does anyone know if the o-ring is a common size? I tried measuring it, but, it didn't seem like a good fit for any standard ring I found. It is something less than 2.5mm cross section and maybe 12mm OD.
The rest of the seals seem fine so I'd rather not replace them if not needed. I wouldn't mind replacing all of the o-rings though.

Also, anyone know why the fuel rail would come loose?
Should I put some loc-tite on when I reinstall it? Factory torque spec?

Thanks for any info,
John

Re: 2005 Suzuki DF-140 Injector O-ring

As a followup to myself...
I removed one of the o-rings from another injector and it looks like it is a M2.4X7.6. Looks and feels like a 70 or so BunaN ring.

These are $5.62 for a hundred at McMaster-Carr.
I'm all for saving money, but I'm more for saving my engines.
I need at least the one o-ring, and would prefer to replace the one I've taken off to measure, if not all of them. I can live with paying $10 for one gasket kit, but really have no desire to buy 4 of them.

Probibly just go to an autoparts store and get an o-ring for a car fuel injector. I know my DF70 use the Bosch "fat" injectors like alot of older Ford cars do like a 93 5.0L mustang engine. If they are the skinny Bosch pencil type then a 2002 explorer 4.6L should work.

Both of those use the same huge o-rings.
The Suzuki Vitara(?) picture looked right, but none in stock. I'll have the o-rings from McMaster tomorrow.
