Will a faulty oil pressure sensor prevent engine from starting.

Background

1. 3 days earlier no issues at all boat ran fine.
2. Then couldn't get it started, would start initially then die a few times
3. next day new fuel filter and checked fuel pump by disconnecting output. Have fuel coming from pump.
4. 40 min or so of waiting and trying to get boat started.
5. got running and left running for 10 minutes at idle or 1000rpm. shutoff and restarted with no issues
6. shutoff engine again and back to original issue engine wont start

Bad connection, ignition key, kill switch, engine connector

sounds like a bad connection somewhere.

Decided to replace my starter, as it was looking rough anyway. Question though, ill upload a pic later but I have 2 black wires and 2 red wires connected to the same post on the solenoid.Seems odd, but has worked the last 4 years since the shop installed my last starter.

The manufacture would not use black for any power connections, assume prior owner installed something. Trace the wires
