A couple months ago while running on plane engine bogged down and I noticed white smoke coming from the water. Engine restarted but ran rough till it died. Got Towed in.

Turned out the fuel pump diaphragm was faulty and leaking gas straight into the crankcase. Fuel Pump has now been replaced.

After changing fuel pump I did some needed maintenance and replaced the following…

Oil, gear-case oil, Oil filter, Fuel Filter, Primer Bulb, Spark Plugs… Also checked compression on all 4 cylinders. (130psi for all of them)

After the maintenance, while using muffs turned engine on and it idled great for 10 mins. Checked oil & no sign of Gasoline.

Next Day took boat to lake. Idled & revved engine on trailer for 10 mins no problems. Backed off Trailer and went to get on top and engine bogged down again. After this the engine ran rough but was enough to get back onto trailer.

I have now replaced fuel lines from tank to engine. Replaced the fuel/water separator. Pulled Fuel injectors tested them and shot through them.

After I primed the engine with Gasoline, I turned it on, and it idled roughly for about 20 seconds. Now it won’t start at all.

MY CURRENT PROBLEM… With the engine off I will prime the fuel bulb till firm and then I hear a gurgling sound of some sort around the intake manifold area (i think) and I lose my fuel pressure in the bulb. After doing this a couple times to try and pinpoint the location of the gurgle, I checked oil and now there is gas in oil again.

I do plan on getting fuel injectors to get professionally cleaned and tested.

Any ideas, tips, similar experiences, or suggestions on what to dig into next would be greatly appreciated thank you!
