Well I finaly ran a leakdown test and found a problem with #3&4 cilinder. I ran combustion chamber cleaner through all the cilinder and I think this cured my oil usage problem. I put 80 miles on it today and used no oil. Back to the leakdown #2&3 are bad. #1&4 tested 4 lb drop at 90 lbs supply air. #2 was 20 lb drop at 90 lbs supply and #3 was 30 lb drop at 90 supply. #3 was passing air to #1 in the test and I'm not sure where #2 was passing air. can I run it like this for a while or do I neet to tear it down? It seems to run ok except i can't get full rpm's only 5400. I run 30 mph at 4300 to 4400 rpm. I reas some where that yamaha has a product other than combustion cleaner that would clean out the engin almost like new. Does anyone know what its called? Could I have carbon build up on a valve and this product would help or should I run some more some combustion cleaner through the engin to try and clean the valves?
