Hi. Just bought a boat after 15 years of waiting, dreaming and saving.
It's a 1994 Sport-Craft 180 Fishmaster. The engine is a 2006 115 2-stroke TLR with 45 hours on it.
The previous owner was a monkey and didn't do any real maintenance, I had to replace plugs, water sep, and there's still some stuff I have to do.
I have to figure out what's wrong with the remote oil tank. It's not sending oil to the main tank on the engine. The pump turns on but maybe the line is plugged or something.
I need to find a manual that explains those kind of repairs and others i.e. Change Gaskets, Water pump, Oil pump, carb-repairs, switch throttle lines etc etc. I'm going to need to switch my trim cap dust seals in a bit and I am mechanically inclined.
The Yamaha manual is very technical. Seloc and Clymer only makes a manual up to 2003 for Yamahas.
What other options do I have to learn how to work on my engine?
