2006 4.3 mpi not starting

this boat will start great until i get it in the water. i can run it for 20-30 min without a flaw, shut it off and it wont start back. today after running the blower for about 5 min and several tries it finally started and ran great. last weekend it had to be towed. i have good spark, can hear the fuel pump run, replaced the check valve & water seperator

Did you check the old fuel filter to see if it was full of water? They can only seperate so much, then you start pumping water into the injections system. Eventually it won't run.

i dropped the old filter getting it out, so i dont know about the water but i had a problem with water last year so at the end of the season i pumped the tank and filled it about a month ago with 48 gallons of non ethenol 93 gas
