2006 90HP EFI Water Pump Housing Question.

I bought my outboard 2 years ago. Had 70 hours on it and now has a round 130. Impeller was replaced when I purchased it. Was going to change the impeller this off season and decide to buy the whole kit including base plate and cover.

Am I overdoing it by replacing all of that instead of replacing just the thin plate, the gaskets and the impeller?

If you already purchased it ,install it but next time just get impeller,plate and gasket and save old housing in case you have a problem...

In sandy/brackish water yes....
