2006 90hp V4 idle issue and running problem

Here is my issue.

Boat will idle fine then at will just die, prime bulb again and shes fine.

At about 1/2 throttle sometimes it will shudder violently as if some of the cylinders are not firing at all, sometimes, like when a thunderstorm required a rapid return to port it worked normally. Where do I begin my troubleshooting? Motor has had VRO removal and had same issues prior to removing VRO pump.

Also where can I find a legit service manual? I hate tightening bolts to what I feel they should be done to.

Test run with a another fuel tank and hose.----Because of the shudder have a look at the gear oil.----Test run with a timing light one cylinder at a time.

Thanks I am still hoping for someone to have had the same problem when under load. It’s bizarre it runs completely normal until about half throttle then it’s like two cylinders aren’t getting fuel but like I said it’s not all the time. Pumping the bulb does nothing to change it either.

Should the fuel line be only a certain length? I noticed since I purchase it used that it has a lot of excess line on it.

The bulb is a manual fuel pump.----If operation of motor does not change when operating it then I would say it is not a fuel supply problem.----Some simple trouble shooting must be done.

What is your model #? Maybe run with a timing light.
