2006 DF70 water leak

My Suzuki DF70 4 stroke has been sitting since June 2010 so I ran it today with the hose connected. While running noticed water coming from the area between the motor and drive assembly. The water had oil in it, but I found no water in the oil. I am thinking that the seal or gasket between the engine and drive shaft has dried out and is leaking. Any suggestions as to what it may be and cost involved would be helpful, as I have cancer and funds are limited. I have had no problem up to this point, and I had the engine serviced and water pump impeller replaced 10/09. Thanks in advance.

can you post a picture of where the water is coming out?

Did you pull the cowling and look for water leaks if that is where you are talking about?

See attached. Where my finger is pointing is the gap that water is coming from, and it is oily. Haven't taken anything off as I don't know how.

Did you pull the cowling and look for water leaks if that is where you are talking about?

The top cowling just lifts off after turning the latches.

Maybe Rodbolt can give some insite about water coming out of that area
