i don't know your boat in particular. but, ya can only store so much stuff on a boat. be it your 17'er or my 19'er. you'll have to be the judge as to weather ya can store stuff in this place or that. be creative with how your storing items. as for the engine compartment. i've seen many boats that have nets or the likes to keep stuff away from the engine. so on them, yes, ya store stuff back there. your's i dunno. if yer sure ya can keep items stored away from the engine moving parts. then i'd say store there. if ya can't be sure something stored won't get into a fan belt or other moving parts, then i'd think don't store there. you'll just have to use good judgment.
