So I've heard/seen oil level warning as well as water level in fuel is the cause. Not sure how they are related (if at all) or if the 4 beeps are different between the different models. Anyway, from what I have seen it talks about removing the fuel filter and checking for water. I don't have the tool to remove the filter, but dropped the line at the bottom of the vapor separator and didn't notice any water in fuel. Not sure if it's related, but noticed when I unplug the throttle sensor (thought it was a oil level sensor) and the beeps stop.

You talking about a 4 stroker? I had a 2002 90 2 stroker and it had a modulation module for determining that the onboard oil tank was low. If you had an over temp condition, the horn would sound a solid blast. If oil it would be a solid 1010101010101. Only had a nylon inline filter under the engine cowling on the port side, white about 1" dia, 2 ? long, no separate water separation. That help?

On the back side of the tank are the wires. The switch is open when above the minimum level and shorts out below thus closing the circuit for the fail alarm signal. The 2 wires are the same color and I'm thinking light blue/white stripe, but blue and green are PTT wires.....been too long. Gripes I have seen on here is that the magnet falls off the float...Faztbullet can tell you exactly. I don't know what the part number is.

Are we talking top, bottom, side? I unbolted the tank and angled it forward, don't want to take it out as it's full and don't want to mess with throttle stuff.

I never pulled the tank and looked. I just picked them up from under the tank coming from the rear, routed together, side by side same color and again, I remember light blue with a white stripe . I'd assume the switch is about ? the height of the tank from the bottom.

What are the chances that something broke off and is floating in the tank? The week before this started I hit a submerged stump doing 30mph. It was strong enough that the engine went full tilt and the cowl came off the engine. The beeping didn't start until many hours into the next fishing trip. I'm thinking the force of hitting the stump is what caused this. My only concern is if I jumper the wires to stop it from beeping and there is something floating around it might plug the hole where the oil goes out of the tank to the engine. I just got back from the Middle East so I haven't had time to even see if jumpering fixes the beeps.
