2006 OPTIMAX 200 Problem

I own a 2006 optimax 200hp on a 22ft cc angler.Bought the boat and engine in 07.It was a left over from 06.ran great all of 07 till the fall.I would go to start it up and after about 5 mins max of idiling it would shut off like i would turn the key to the off position. Go to restart sometimes it would restart no problem sometimes it would start,run few seconds them shut off like the key was turn to the off.But the key,the lanyard were both fine.Finally after about 10 mins of starting stopping it would run fine.Go to pull out of the inlet and throttle up goto 1500 fine go up to 2000-2200 cuts out.no alarms nothings once again like the key is turned off.After another 5 mins or so of trying to get it restarted it runs like a champ.All day to stopping fishing for 5 hours then coming in or making multiple stops.Then the next day following morning its the same thing starts stops.ors runs fine then cuts out.Now sometimes i do get a alarm while im starting it.But it never lasts more then a second.This past fall i had it winterized and asked them to look into the problem they said they did and nothing was wrong.Engine has 80.1hrs.Boat is back in the shop again.
Any thoughts?

It is under warranty. Let Mercury worry about. I am not that familar w/ the Optix. I just passed on buying one and went with a 225 Honda just because of stories like this.

Welcome to the forum!!
There's nothing wrong with Optimax outboards. Let the dealer work on it as these are very complex engines.

hands down mercs are fast and when they are properly maintained and run they are champs.I just cant seem to figure it out. I just hope the tech can find the problem.From what ive heard the new opti's are bulletproof. The jap motors seem to be the talk of the town.And im starting to see more and more of them..
