I was wondering if someone could help me out.
I have a 2006 Yam F150 4str. It bogs a bit and stalls when you go from neutral to forward about 60% of the time. If you goose it it is ok, but it startles others on the boat. If you just gently put in gear it dies. I have taken it back to the dealer and they say the engine is set to all the Yam specs. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I should tell them to look for next. It drives me nuts.

thanks!

check the shift cutout switch, you can use a multimeter or the laptop to check for switch open or closed.
may be as simple as a shift cable adjustment.
also check the operation of the ISC valve.
that engine doesnt have much to "set". it either works or its broke regaurdless of what the dealership says.
we had a lot of issues with mis-adjusted cables on the HPDI shift slide that did funny things.
if the linkage adjustment is done correctly about the only other "settable" function is the TPS.
most all other functions are controled by inputs to and outputs from the ECU.
