First time out-
Engine will not pump water when boat is in the lake. Engine overheats-200F. Drive is all the way down. Replaced seawater pump, put back together correctly, hoses back on pump assy correctly.
On the garden hose, it will pump water. Thought we had an air lock.
Took it back to the lake, no water pumping.
Thermostat was replaced last summer.
For reference, drive was removed last fall for gimbal/bellows/u-joint inspection by dealer. Is there any way the water supply hose could have gotten kinked when they had it apart?
I am in SD, so no salt water.
I have had folks say it could be a blockage in an oil cooler, a collapsed seawater supply hose, or corrosion. I have been around MerCruiser drives my whole life and am baffled by this. Take care of these things, and normally, they are bulletproof and problem free. I know the Bravos are gravity fed vs. an impeller in the lower drive.

Any one had this happen? Am I missing something simple? Thanks in advance!

The hose can get twisted and kinked but being a dealer did it , its not to likely. In any case look at the hose going from drive bell housing to transom assy and see if it is

If they are pulling the drive, doesn't the hose stay connected to the transom assy? That was my thought, but will check anyway. I have also been told that the hose will collapse over time? Any validity to any of that?
