Hello I have a 2007 merc 90hp 2 stroke. and I tried to get it running for the first time this year and it doesn't seem to be getting any spark. I'm getting fuel to the plugs but no spark. I have changed the plugs but no go. I see it does have a coil pack for each cylinder but I am wondering if it could be something other than a coil pack since it is in all cylinders. Is there another part that would be better to look at before I just start throwing parts at it? Thanks.

Either you are not getting triggers from the pickup coils (Stator) under the flywheel or your remote control box could be shorting them out.....the black/yellow striped wire to your CDI module is trigger kill and the wiring harness input side should be grounded when the ignition switch is OFF and pretty much open ckt. when in any run position.....could be a kill switch on the control box in the wrong position or defective, a defective ignition switch in the control box, or that wire shorted to battery - (ground) somewhere.

So I was able to figure it out. I posted the same thing on the hull truth and within a few hours I had the culprit. So no need to continue this post.

Too late to edit my edited post, but wanted to say that since you did mention "The Hull Truth", that place should be avoided like the plague, it is rife with malware, spyware and down right nasty bilge scum. I am a computer "tech" and I have actually seen the infections from the site. Sad, but true.
