Hello,

I just installed a new longblock in a 2007 Volvo Penta multi port EFI motor it is the first Volvo EFI I have done have dona many volvo carb motors where you plug into the distributor to reach "base timing" anyways I was wondering how you time this motor I have watched people plug a computer in to get to base timeing I was wondering if there was a way to do it without the computer?

Thank you any help would be appreciated!!!!!!

Timing an EFI motor should be no different than a carb motor...timing light and a mark on the damper. If it's distributorless, there is no ignition timing to set, computer controls timing.
