Can some one help me with a diagram?
The old plug ins had numbers and this one has letters and are much smaller. I am trying to bench start the engine I just rebuilt.
The old style you could ground 5&6 and add 12 volts to 7 to start the engine, what are the 2 letters that need grounded on the new one?

Thanks!

I'm thinking your talking about the 14 pin connector instead of the 10 pin. Suggest posting a pic to verify

Yes it is a 14 pin connector, the pins are designated by letter instead of number?

Pretty sure you're not going to find a wiring diagram online for this as Mercruiser went to something different for wiring diagrams right around 2007....Edit : I take that back, It seems the diagram might be in here, http://calabriaboats.com/merc_service_manual/90-863758070_9A.pdf

About the best I can quickly locate would be this which you might be able to use as a pattern since it has the numbers and not letters......Just be careful...If you don't like this idea I believe they have a remote starter with this design harness.

Here you go,
A - 12V
B - Ground
C - Wake (ignition ON)
N - Crank (Start)

14 Pin Connector.jpg

They also make a 10 to 14 pin connector so you can do it the old way :)

I hope your not try to ground two pins, you don't ground pins even with the 10 pin. Jump A to C, then Temp jump A to N to start. Only ground would be pin B

Sorry I did not make myself clear. I have dropped the engine in the boat and connected everything. It cranks from the key but does not fire. If I continue to crank it blows the 15 amp fuse that is first from the main plug that plugs into the wiring harness on the boat. Where can I get info on the fuses that are on the harness?

Thanks

Guess I need to know which 15 amp fuse it is. If your talking about the ignition fuse I'm seeing it should be a 20 amp
