2007 q7i pee hole

I just recently bought a "new to me" q7i with a 5.0 mericruser. This is my first inboard/outboard and was wondering where is the pee hole all the outboards I have ever owned you could see it clear as day.

What is a q7i with a 5.0 mericruser.? There is no pee hole like an outboard, you watch the engine temp

The way to tell impeller working or not is to hook up muffs and fire up the boat in the driveway.

A new to you boat needs all maintenance items gone through. You must assume none of them were done as the previous owner (PO around here) got tired of his boat and stopped using or maintaining it. Get yourself the Mercruiser manual for that model drive. And go through the maintenance. Then hook up muffs and test that everything works before you have to walk back when something doesn't.

I/Os dont have pee holes...... they have gauges and annual maintenance.

with any new to you boat with an I/O

at a minimum you need to do the following:

replace raw water pump
replace bellows
align motor
inspect gimbal bearing
inspect u-joints
replace drive gear lube
grease propeller shaft
grease input shaft
change engine oil
change engine fuel filter
re-pack trailer wheel bearings
service trailer brakes as needed.

you have to assume that the prior owner did not do any maintenance.

All the above. And if it’s the 5.0 mpi I think it is...replace the diz cap asap. If it’s not letting you down now..it will at somepoint...that’s for sure. All the best.
