On Saturday after a high speed run I got a 4 beep warning. It was 4 beeps every couple minutes until I beached and shut down. could not restart battery was dead. Checked the manual and determined the 4 beeps indicated the battery was dead. Well that was dead on. Simple enough, new battery. Ran about 3 hours on Sat with new battery. Ran 3 to 4 hours on Sunday tried another high speed run as soon as I throttled down got the 4 beeps. Got a multi meter and the battery showed just over 12 volts. Ran just a short time today and as soon as I tried to speed up it started beeping again. Battery still shows btwn 12 and 13 volts. Any suggestions on where to start the healing?

Start the motor and run it up to about 1200 to 1500 rpm and see what the voltage is on the battery using a DVM on the battery itself, not the helm instrument.

It may be that the fusible link has been blown and the alternator, although working cannot charge the battery. It happened on my 2006 115HP Optimax

I totally agree with Don....run a volt meter and you should see 13.8-14.5 or so...less than that and you got alternator issues....battery must be fully charged...

It was the 100 amp fuse on the feed line out of the alternator. Not a replaceable fuse, had to replace the whole line. None available in Lake Havasu City, or the immediate area. On order will be in by ??????????.
