2008 SX outdrive to duo prop

I would like to convert my SX outdrive to a Duoprop. From what I understand I can replace the lower unit. I am having a difficult time finding the exact part number to shop for that will work with what I currently have.

Does anyone have anymore information about this topic? Pros/cons. Best place to purchase a lower unit? Best place to sell the SX lower.

You need to go to a 1.98 ratio for the DP.

You'll never go back to a single prop after owning a single prop drive and upgrading to the DP, I can tell you that.

ebay and craigslist is your bets for selling your drives lower. But you might want to consider keeping the SX lower and prop, just in case of an emergency.

I switched 2 years ago and as DON said I will never go back.
Boat pops out of the water onto plane.
Stays on plane at a lower rpm.
Inproved handling in reverse.
I saved my single sx for one year, just in case. Then sold it on craigslist this year.
I purchased my dp-s on ebay and then had all seals changed and inspection by an
autharized dealer.

Thank you for your help. I am still somewhat confused on the gear ratio. The link that you gave me has gear options to choose from.
1. 21595262---1.78:1
2. 21595268--2.14:1, 1.95:1

You recommended going with a 1.98 ratio for the DP, did you mean the 1.78?

Sorry, a finger got away from me while typing. 1.95 (one point nine five) is what you want, the 1.78 is for the big blocks.
