One of the used boats I'm looking at has a 2008 Yamaha 200HP Outboard. Can anyone give me any insight as to the quality of this OB? The new boat I'm looking at has a new 150HP Honda.

These motors both are excellent, but require clean, fresh, stabilized fuel, regular maintenance and care, that with good luck and they run great! They're definitely not like cars, where you just add gas and drive. Buy a motor manual for the motor you buy and study up on it. Be darn sure you have a fuel/water separator installed. Good Luck!

Not sure, I don't take possession until 1/10. Less of an issue for me since the guy I'm buying it from said he would be glad to do oil changes and such for me since they have a mechanic for buying the boat from him. I slip a few down from him. Great guy.

Yamaha F200 is a great motor. The 2 stroke is a solid motor, too. Is it a 2 or 4 stroke? They made both...

medium load with the engine correctly trimmed we like to see at least 5800 RPM.
