I have a 1991 E200STLEID, I am tring to remove the water control valve and replace with 93 200hp theromstats, springs, and covers. The problem is I can't find the covers (0337486). Is there another cover I could modifiy to use with these thermostates? I already have the Thermostates, springs and gaskets. Dusky's claimed they had the covers online, but when I got the order they said no longer avalible. Thanks for the help

You cannot use the 1993 t-stats or cover, you have to use the parts off a 1990"s 70HP.... and they are hard to find also. Best to buy a 3 cylinder head with t-stat assy installed.

Ok somewhere I read 93 same hp was what I should use. But I see you have discussed this topic for some time now. So what exactly do I need, Thermostats, covers, springs, and gaskets? All from a 70hp? What year or years will work? Sounds like they maybe impossible to find as well, so any idea what heads would run or where to find them?

All the motors that have a water valve use the valve to control t-stats diaphragm....it is acting as a poppet valve. 1993 has a poppet on block. As stated 1993 and up parts wont work..
