I just bought a 2010 Lowe 220D deck boat and have a problem with the power trim. I can get it to trim in but not out and not tilt up but over a very small range. I don't have a manual yet for making repairs. I am wondering whether this could just be low hydraulic fluid and where the reservoir is located. Any help will be appreciated.

The reservoir is on the side of the trim pump/cylinder. I think it has a yellow cap. You may have to help it up and lock it in place using the trailering bracket that flips down.

Low fluid works fine until the reservoir runs dry. Then it stops lifting. Works fine underneath that.

Trim fluid should be filled with engine fully raised. Engine should be positively locked in place before you stick your hands up underneath it.

Thank you, I'll try this out.
