Installation instructions from the 115 Optimax manual:
1. Filling fuel system: For initial start of a new engine, engine that ran out of fuel, was drained of fuel the fuel system should be filled:
A. Pump the external fuel line bulb till firm, like on any 2 stroker.
B. Turn the key to on and wait 3 seconds for the electric fuel pump to pump up the onboard tank.
C. Key OFF. Squeeze the bulb till firm again.
D. Continue the above process until the bulb is already firm when you switch the engine OFF......makes sense. If the onboard tank is full you can't add any so the bulb stays firm.
2. Oil injection setup:
A. Fill remote tanks with oil specified for this engine, per your owner's manual. 2 strokes use Two Cycle (TC--Water (W) 3rd iteration (3)....TC-W3.....checking specs in the manual, TC-W3 Premium Plus.....Just what Walmart sells under the Pennzoil label...semi synthetic.
Tighten filler caps.....da...........OK!
B. Fill onboard tank also. Since you have operated your engine you shouldn't have to prime the oil pump....assuming you have had adequate oil in the tanks when last operated. This step is only for first time operation of an engine. Note: If you didn't have oil in the tanks which would have ensured that there was already a full supply line to the engine you will have to go through the oil priming process which I did not include.
That's all it says. You should be able to turn the key and it light off.....don't forget shifter in N. I don't guess Optimax engines have to worry about fast idle lever, like on 2 strokes.
