Hello, i recently purchased a 2010 Suzuki df8 4 stroke to use as a kicker on my 92 Starcraft walleye 170c boat..When i bought motor i was looking to be able to get down to roughly 1 mph for trolling live bait.. I was told should be good with an 8, yesterday i tried with my self n another in boat at idle i was cruising 2.0 n could not go lower.. My ? is will changing prop pitch be able to get me there? Top speed is not a prob as i use another outboard for main engine.. I was told has a high thrust prop on it n that should produce more low end grunt but less top end.. I believe numbers on prop say 9-1 4/8.. Any input helps.. Don't wanna pull buckets that is why i went down to 8 hp 4 stroke to troll slow n sip gas, lol...
