Out boating today and hit a big wave, engine and instrument panel including radio died. Bilge pump and trailer trim at the rear deck work. Checked fuses under the console and the only fuses are those to the instrument panel. Checked 50 amp fuse on engine and wasn't tripped. All battery connections were checked and ok. Question is if it's the 90 amp fuse on the starter would that shut down everything else? I assumed the bilge and rear trailer trim control do not go thru either 50 or 90 amp fuse. Any help appreciated.

Guessing this is a Merc with a 50 amp breaker, so GA_Boater need to move to Merc section

It is an electrical issue, but the problem is with a motor, and it will get more folks looking

The items that are running now and connected directly to the battery and starter post. This is why they still work

Power to helm and then to motor follows this way
Starter post to 90amp fuse
90 amp to 50amp breaker Red wire
50amp to 10 pin motor connector Red/Purple wire
Other side of 10 pin connector to 20amp ignition fuse
20 amp to key switch Red/Purple
key switch to kill switch (man overboard) Purple
Kill switch to gauges and back to 10 pin connector Purple wire
10 pin to motor ignition circuits Purple wire

Assuming it with not do anything including motor cranking, then look for the 20 amp ignition fuse

Trace the voltage from starter up with a voltmeter
