Hello everyone. I have a 2011 Glastron GLS 255 with a 350 MAG MerCruiser sterndrive (230 hrs). Throughout this year we have been getting consistent beeping noises while driving. When on plane and at higher speeds, there are occasional longer beeps in which the engine cuts out for a bit. We then noticed that the back of the boat was very hot. We decided to keep open the engine hatch with a piece of wood and let it cool. We ran the boat like this further and there were no more beeping noises. What could cause the overheating? I have read online some possible reasons are the thermostat or water pump impeller (which was replaced ~3-4 yrs ago). Thermostats are pretty cheap to replace, should we start there? Thank you!

I would start right there. Ya don't know when it was replaced and it should be replaced more often. Bravo is best at 2 yrs but 3 yrs max. If its an Alpha Gen 2 then can go longer, maybe 5 and all these are if your in fresh water

When the motor beeps you need to stop and figure out what the problem is, its not saying HI
