After the Daytona 500 last Sunday, we're staying for an extra weekend. The three series will be racing on the road course instead of the oval, so it will be like a Mega-Clash. With Nascar still operating under Pandemic rules, there is no qualifying and the starting grid is set using the goofy Nascar metrics formula for 2021:
Back to Daytona; after we get past Friday, the weather will be OK, but most of Friday will be wet. From MRN, the weekend schedule;

- Chase Elliott is on the pole and last week's winner, Michael McDowell, is starting 2nd. Elliott is the early favorite following his 2nd place finish in the Clash.
- Penalties - Only 2 loose/missing lugnut fines, but a Truck series hauler driver has been suspended indefinitely for a behavior penalty.
- By winning the Daytona 500, McDowell's primary sponsor Love's Travel Stop, got $9,251,770 in media exposure value across TV/digital - Basically for free. Yes, this stuff is really tracked;
- TV Ratings - Not good, only 2.8 with 4.3M viewers for the worst ever since records have been kept. Last year's 500, also rain-delayed, was the previous worst.
