Since I do not have a spare I was thinking about putting new aluminum wheels and radial tires on my trailer (Factory Tahoe 2004 Q4 F/S trailer) and using the stock ones for spares. The OEM tire is a F65-14ST which after researching is a Tow-master tire that is equivilent in size to a 205/65/14. It doesn't seem that anyone makes a 205/65/14 radial TRAILER tire. I was looking at the Goodyear Marathon 205/75/14 tires. Has anyone put these tires on one of these trailers? The fender clearance concerns me going to a little larger tire:confused:. There are a few tires available in the OEM size that are bias ply - would the radial be that much better or should I just stick with the bias ply? Thanks!

just measured from center of hub to fender and measured right at 13" at the closest point. The GY Marathons are spec at 26.1" diameter which means I would need 13.05" clearance for just the tire - not including any flex from the springs. I'm not seeing this working...............

I would just stick with the biased tire that fits. Get your fancy wheels and biased tires and I bet you'll be happy. Otherwise you are talking modifications to your trailer to make the radials fit.
